Lyn Holcomb joined The Horton Group in 2006 after spending six years with a publicly-traded insurance broker as an Owner-Controlled Insurance Program Coordinator and Account Executive. She contends that working for The Horton Group, a fiercely independent insurance broker, has enabled her to bring a higher level of service to clients.
“For me, the real difference at The Horton Group has been the ability to deliver on the promise of top-quality services, including contract review, safety personnel and claims advocacy,” Lyn explained. “This is in addition to strong insurance carrier relationships and a corporate culture dedicated to improving the performance of clients, not shareholders.”
Lyn has solid experience in the construction industry and she remains very active in associations, such as the Wisconsin Landscape Contractors Association and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals.
Lyn says the most rewarding part of her job is helping clients fully understand their risk management program and how it fits into their business operations. “I believe the best thing you can do for a client is listen to their needs and provide guidance on structuring the right insurance program. My top priorities with my clients are to provide outstanding service, understand their complex issues and be available whenever I am needed.”
Lyn’s strengths include serving her clients as an advisor and an extension of their management team. “Knowing that we provide value to our clients way beyond just an insurance policy is extremely rewarding,” Lyn stated. “My focus is to find the best insurance program for my clients at the very best value.”
“Safety consulting and loss control are the number one priority with clients,” Lyn concluded. “A safe company is a successful company.”
Lyn enjoys dancing, cooking, biking and spending time with her family in Wisconsin’s Northwoods.
