Glenn Horton is president and chief executive officer of The Horton Group. In this position, he leads one of the Midwest’s largest and fastest growing insurance and employee benefit brokers.

Beginning his career in insurance sales with a small suburban Chicago company, Glenn purchased Horton a few years later in 1982. More than twenty years later, the firm now known as The Horton Group has grown to more than thirty five million in revenue and in excess of 300 employees. From its one location in suburban Chicago, Horton has increased to over six offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

Glenn attended Valparaiso University where he studied economics. He has earned his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, which is recognized as one of the highest educational achievements in the insurance industry.

As a frequent supporter of various charitable causes, Glenn serves as a board member of Metropolitan Family Services. He is a resident of Orland Park, Illinois, and he is married with three children. Hobbies include boating, fishing, scuba, skiing, and travel.
