Ken Olson
President - Horton Benefit Services
Ken Olson serves as President of the Benefit Services Division at The Horton Group
in Orland Park. In his capacity as President, Ken is responsible for all facets of the
Division, including sales, marketing, recruitment and insurance carrier and vendor
relationships. His position includes an active role with the company's Executive
Committee dealing with branding, growth, direction and overall company strategy.
He is an accomplished insurance professional with more than 20 years of insurance
brokerage experience.
Ken is an active member on the agent advisory councils of Aetna, United Healthcare,
Guardian / Destiny Health, Humana and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Illinois. He
possesses extensive technical knowledge and the expertise to customize a comprehensive
benefit program that will address the needs of both human resource and financial
departments. His comments on the industry have been recently published in: Chicago
Tribune Newspaper, Employee Benefit News, Business Ledger Newspaper & Employee
Benefit Advisor magazine.
Prior to joining The Horton Group, Ken's career included management positions at
TJ Adams Group and Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs. Ken and his wife Mary recently moved
to Orland Park from a far Western suburb of Chicago. Together they are raising three
daughters: Haley, Elizabeth and Emily.
