Vice President - Horton Risk Management Services
Mike Madey is a Vice President with The Horton Group in the Risk Management Services division in Orland Park, Illinois. This division includes all insurance, risk management, and risk financing alternatives that pertain to commercial property and casualty. He is responsible for new account development and providing a high level of service to existing clients. Mike specializes in insurance programs for the manufacturing and distribution industries and has led Horton’s Manufacturing Practice since 2005. In addition, he also has expertise in the placement of professional liability for physi-cians, lawyers, architects and engineers.
Mike has been with The Horton Group since 1994, where he has worked in various sales, marketing, and management positions for the commercial division. Mike was also a founding partner in Horton Professional Services (HPS). Prior to joining The Horton Group, Mike worked in the commercial underwriting and liability claims departments with two national insurance carriers.
Mike is a graduate of the University of New York and earned his MBA at the Keller Graduate School of Management. Mike holds both the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) and the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.
