Mike is one of the founding principals of Horton Benefit Services, an endeavor started
in 1989 that now accounts for over 30 percent of The Horton Group's overall revenue.
Mike has been in the insurance industry for close to 25 years. At Horton he has served
in numerous capacities including division president. He holds a Bachelor's degree from
Roosevelt University and a MBA from Lewis University. He serves on numerous advisory
boards for insurance carriers and related industries including Blue Cross Blue Shield of
Illinois, and Coventry Health. He has served on the board of directors and government
affairs committee of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois, is the
Healthcare Council Chair for the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce and serves
on the Governance Council of Advocate South Suburban Hospital.
Mike's rounded experience and his very dedicated staff work tirelessly on developing
and expanding Best in Class Services designed to help control insurance costs, increase
employee benefit satisfaction and assist in creating a culture to foster healthier, safer and
more productive employees.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
