Tom Palmer
Senior Vice President - Horton Risk Management Services
Tom Palmer is a senior vice president with The Horton Group in the Horton Risk
Management Services division in Orland Park. This division includes all insurance, risk
management, and risk financing alternatives that pertain to commercial property and
casualty. He is responsible for new account development and providing a high level of
service to existing clients. He specializes in a variety of industries including manufacturing,
construction, distribution/wholesale, and financial services.
Tom has been associated with Horton since 1990 and has been an owner/shareholder
since 1992. Prior to Horton, he was a principal at another agency. He has also worked
as a loan officer at a large suburban bank.
Tom is a graduate of Brother Rice High School and attended Northern Illinois
University. His education has continued with various courses and seminars on
insurance and risk management.
Tom was raised in Oak Lawn and still resides there with his wife Barb. He is an active
member of St. Gerald's parish and Brother Rice's Alumni Association.
