Horton Management Risk Services - Vice President

Kristen Long is a Vice President with The Horton Group in the Risk Management Services Division in Chicago. This division includes all insurance, risk management and risk financing alternatives that pertain to commercial property and casualty. She is responsible for new account development and providing a high level of service to existing clients.

With more than 19 years experience the insurance industry, Kristen spent the majority of her career in the areas of marketing and placement of large construction accounts prior to joining Horton. This experience included self insurance programs and captive insurance - all which require in-house claims advocacy, safety/engineering and paralegal services.

She has been an active participant in local construction associations such as the Illinois Road Builders, ASA, Fox Valley General Contractors Association and the Federation of Women Contractors where she has held various committee positions. Kristen attended Northern Illinois University and studied Business & Marketing. Knowing that continuing education is critical in this industry, Kristen keeps up on courses and seminars on insurance and risk management.
