Liz Letke is a Senior Vice President of Horton’s Employee Benefit Solutions division. She specializes in helping businesses and nonprofit organizations protect their bottom lines by using multi-funding strategies, cost containment and wellness programs.

Since 2017, Liz has worked at Horton with a team of specialists dedicated to delivering innovative healthcare solutions to employers. She is responsible for providing expert employee benefits consulting, bringing new clients on board and servicing/retaining existing clients.

As a dedicated member of the M&A practice group, she analyzes every detail of her clients’ businesses to determine every exposure and provides risk management programs to insulate their businesses from liability. It is difficult to design the perfect plan for her clients, as there are many factors to consider, including but not limited to size, financial history and overall risk levels. But Liz is always up for this challenge.

“When I’m helping a client with their employee benefits program, the first thing I do is confirm their company’s goals, so we have a mutual understanding and can develop a plan designed to meet their needs and help them grow their business,” Liz says. “I get a lot of enjoyment out of formulating different strategies for every group.”

Liz takes pride in helping her clients cut costs while ensuring they have all of the coverage they need. She attributes this to Horton’s abundance of resources and the dedication and support of her team members.

“There are two traits that set Horton apart from other brokerages: our resources and our professionals,” she says. “We offer claims advocacy, surety, legal assistance or safety consulting services for businesses of all types and sizes. Our team works diligently to ensure that our clients always feel supported, and it’s a privilege to be trusted to protect their business and employees.”

Liz sees herself as a partner with human resource experts, helping to solve claims issues and deliver a great experience to employees. “Today, our HR clients are wearing multiple hats – managing human capital, benefits, compliance and more,” she says. “I know their role is challenging, and I love that I can work with them to offer solutions to lighten their load and ensure compliance.”

Liz is a long-time resident of the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago. Her main hobbies include exploring the city with her dog, Duncan, watching sports with her two younger brothers, yoga and water sports. She is very involved with her alma mater, Northwestern University, where she works with the Chicago Field Studies program mentoring junior and senior level students with their job searches.
