Rob McIntyre, MBA, ARM, CPCU, CIC, CRM
As Branch President, Rob McIntyre is responsible for the people, relationships and performance of Horton’s Wisconsin operations. As such, Rob is active in recruiting and developing sales professionals. “We look for talent that has the drive and excellence to be our next generation of leaders”, Rob said. “Our stock ownership and internal succession plans bring us motivated employees. I help by coaching new sales executives, helping them prepare effective business plans and honing their sales skills. Teaching people to deliver outstanding client service is the most rewarding part of my job.”
Rob managers relationships with the insurance companies, and he solicits merger and acquisition prospects. He also serves as his division’s representative on Glenn Horton’s Executive Staff. This role involves developing the strategic direction of The Horton Group, and carrying out tactical plans. It also takes Rob into areas involving creative product development. Over the years, Rob developed a Risk Management Assessment process to help his clients. The process begins with understanding the client’s strategic direction, and leads to prioritizing effective risk management techniques. “The primary goal of the Risk Management Assessment is to help our clients achieve a higher level of performance, Rob explained. “Many times the best solutions have little to do with purchasing commercial insurance.” With 30 years of experience in the insurance sales and risk management, Rob is helping to shape Horton's future.
A native of Sun Prairie and longtime resident of Menomonee Falls, Rob stays true to his Wisconsin roots. He enjoys sail kayaking trips and time with his family at their cabin “up North”. He is an avid reader and enjoys hunting, yoga, oil painting and household projects. Rob is also involved with pet therapy, and organizations that serve individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities.

Rob brings focus and intensity to our business. There's no one better in the industry in anticipating and addressing insurance issues and solutions – and that's what I call a true partner.
Robert N. Trunzo, CEO
The Cuna Mutual Group
A lot of general contractors choose to ignore the realities of our industry and don’t bring up the notion of risk. I have such great confidence in Rob McIntyre that I bring him into complex negotiations and ask him to discuss the risks everyone faces in that project. Our goal is to incorporate an adequate, effective insurance and risk management package into the total cost of the contract. This often becomes an educational process for all parties involved.
Jim Hunzinger, Executive Vice President
Hunzinger Construction Company
Our firm relies on Rob McIntyre to provide Product Liability solutions for our lawn and garden and recreational products. We look to Rob and the Horton Group for claims advocacy, safety consultation, and advice on how to manage risks related to our overseas operations.
