Tim Deaton refuses to take a “one size fits all” approach when working with clients on their employee health benefits plan. In fact, he finds solving complex issues and implementing creative cost saving measures to be the most rewarding part of his job.
“If I tried to just fit companies into predetermined plans, my job would become incredibly dull,” Tim said. “I embrace the challenge of meeting with employers, learning about their business and employees, and finally working with all parties involved to find a solution to their health benefits issues. My goal is to meet the goals set by my clients – simple as that.”
The cooperation of the Horton Benefit Services team gives Tim's clients access to a host of excellent resources, including enrollment education, online benefit support, wellness education, quarterly plan reviews, and detailed claims analysis. Tim feels that The Horton Group's experience in implementing wellness initiatives is especially valuable to companies.
“Wellness and population health management is the key to lowering costs,” Tim explained. “Healthier employees are more productive and incur fewer claims. Helping our clients and their employees understand their current state of health and establishing wellness measures will lead to a lower, more stable trend in cost increases.”
Tim is dedicated to meeting timelines and maintains an open line of communication with his clients. As a result, he has been asked to serve in an advisory role to many companies.
“I spent the majority of my career working with providers and I understand how difficult it is for people to find the most cost-effective healthcare,” Tim concluded. “In order to help employees navigate the healthcare market and spend their dollars more wisely, I ask clients to work with me in taking a proactive approach to plan education and communication.”
