Manufacturing, warehousing, retail industries, rely on outside support to ensure continuity of their business operations and to maximize efficiency. Temporary staffing agencies, vendors, and contractors that send employees to a facility to complete contracted work do not have sole responsibility for employee safety. OSHA’s multi-employer citation policy requires that the host facility exercise reasonable care in preventing and discovering violations that can negatively impact those guest staffing employees, contractors, and vendors.

Many companies fall short when it comes to expertise, and neglect managing this risk and fulfilling their legal responsibilities to manage the safety of non-employees. Tim Walsh and Matt Meyer from the Horton group will walk you through the insurance, contractual, and legal considerations to maximize the effectiveness of your company’s safety and risk management programs.

Who Should Attend:

  • Safety Managers (Host), Safety Managers (Contractor)
  • Safety Manager (Staffing Agencies)
  • Maintenance Managers
  • Purchasing Managers
  • Corporate Risk Managers
  • Human Resource Managers

Through his extensive experience with OSHA, Tim is able to successfully lead his clients through all aspects of OSHA inspections and/or affiliated reporting requirements. From the initial inspection to the issuance of citations, informal contests, and concluding with abatement activities; Tim is able to be an asset to his clients in a time of uncertainty.

Meyer has spent six and a half years working with business clients in the Greater Milwaukee area as a commercial banking relationship manager for a regional, commercial bank. During that time he was able to build a greater understanding of what business owners and executives look for in a partner to help them strategize for future success. For Meyer, the satisfaction of working with business owners and executives is in the execution of the company’s strategies of managing risk.
