Managing Temporary Employers and Contractors
Registration Fee: $25 (Lunch Provided)
Manufacturing, warehousing, retail industries, rely on outside support to ensure continuity of their business operations and to maximize efficiency. Temporary staffing agencies, vendors, and contractors that send employees to a facility to complete contracted work do not have sole responsibility for employee safety. OSHA’s multi-employer citation policy requires that the host facility exercise reasonable care in preventing and discovering violations that can negatively impact those guest staffing employees, contractors, and vendors.
Many companies fall short when it comes to expertise, and neglect managing this risk and fulfilling their legal responsibilities to manage the safety of non-employees. Tim Walsh and Matt Meyer from the Horton group will walk you through the insurance, contractual, and legal considerations to maximize the effectiveness of your company’s safety and risk management programs.
Who Should Attend:
- Safety Managers (Host), Safety Managers (Contractor)
- Safety Manager (Staffing Agencies)
- Maintenance Managers
- Purchasing Managers
- Corporate Risk Managers
- Human Resource Managers
