On June 28, 2016, Chicago passed its Paid Sick Leave ordinance, and Cook County hastily followed suit in October 2016, with both laws going into effect on July 1, 2017.  Despite these laws being in effect for over a year, many businesses simply fail to comply.  This includes not providing any paid sick leave at all, to noncompliant accrual, use and carryover policies, to failure to follow notice requirements.

In this not-to-be-missed event, earn about key compliance issues under these laws, as well as other important changes to other Illinois mandated leave laws, such as the Child Bereavement Leave Act, the Victims’ Economic Security and Safety Act, and the Illinois Employee Sick Leave Act.
