George Daly Inducted as National Director of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America

ORLAND PARK, IL (November 2, 2022) – George Daly, president of The Horton Group’s personal lines division, has been inducted as the national director of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA, or Big “I”).

As national director, Daly will represent the members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of Illinois) when making policy decisions and setting the strategic direction of the national association. He will serve as a conduit for information between the national and state associations. In addition, IIABA Board members often serve on committees and task forces and raise funds for the Political Action Committee. He will serve a three-year term ending September 30, 2025, and will be eligible for re-election for another three-year term at that time.

Daly, an industry veteran with almost 40 years of experience, has held various roles within the IIA, including president, regional director, government relations chair and IIAPAC chair. He currently serves as the president of Horton’s personal lines division in 2019, encompassing strategy, production, client experience, management and profit/loss performance. Before that, he served as Horton’s chief operations officer in 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
