ORLAND PARK, IL – JULY 20, 2020: The Horton Group is proud to announce that the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, Inc., also known as The Big “I”, have extended Michael E. Wojcik’s role as Health Care Liaison for another 1-year term beginning September 1, 2020. As Mike has displayed dedicated participation in this role, he continues to successfully take on these duties for Horton as an employee benefits broker and the Big “I”. 

Over the years, Wojcik, Senior Vice President of Horton’s Employee Benefit Solutions department, has made trips to Washington, D.C. more than a dozen times, as a member of the National Healthcare Task Force of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. This group supports their Government Affairs body working directly with Congressional members involved in healthcare reform. 

“It is an honor to continue in the role of Health Care Liaison for the Independent Agents and Brokers of America. This will be another challenging year for our industry, even aside from COVID-19’s impact.  I am confident we will continue to come out stronger and more valuable to customers and carriers as we go through these tests,” Wojcik stated.

Michael Wojcik joined Horton in 1989 as one of the founding partners of its employee benefits brokerage and consulting division. His leadership and innovative drive have helped the division earn continuous growth and recognition as a thought leader in the industry.
