According to OSHA, the National Fall Prevention Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities, injuries and preventable deaths.
According to the BLS, in 2015 the leading cause of death for a construction work was due to a fall, accounting for 350 of the 937 construction fatalities. In 2016, “Fall Protection” was the number one reason construction companies and contractors received OSHA violations.
As part of this campaign, OSHA has published a number of resources for employers to use – keepig their employees safe.
