Craig Taylor

Craig Taylor serves as a Sales Executive at The Horton Group, one of the largest brokers in the Greater Chicago metro area. Craig brings 11 years of insurance and business experience to Horton.  He is responsible for providing clients with innovative and fresh solutions to their most complex, risk-related challenges.

In September of 2014, Craig joined Horton and brought with him a unique background.  Originally from England, Craig worked as an insurance consultant for ERA Insurance Cost Management in London.  In this position, Craig helped multi-national companies of all types and sizes choose insurance brokers and identify both immediate and long-term solutions to manage risk and drive down costs.

“At ERA, I saw first-hand the strain of rising costs put on the organization.  Often, clients find this experience refreshing and valuable. I have walked in their shoes, understand their perspective,” says Craig.  “This experience allows me to offer clients tangible strategies that mitigate cost and risk, providing their organizations a competitive advantage.”

Prior to joining Horton, Craig worked at the Chicago Board of Trade for Arclight Securities LLC. He credits this experience with helping him become a fast thinker, able to identify opportunities quickly while continually assessing risk, a valuable skill for his clients.

Craig attended Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Information Systems. Craig grew up in the village of Byfleet in Surrey, England. He now lives in Chicago with his wife and son. When away from work, Craig enjoys rugby, sailing, golf, cooking and trying out new restaurants.
