Kristy Lambert is the Director of Strategic Agency Solutions at the Horton Group. She serves as a strategic business partner to all Horton divisions, driving utilization, productivity and employee enablement, specifically relating to Agency Management Systems.

Kristy is responsible for leading research efforts around continuous improvement and optimization of Horton’s systems and processes to ensure Horton operates as an industry leader and best practices agency. She also serves as a liaison to Horton’s outsourced partners to support the agency’s business needs.

From her proven organizational skills to her attention to structure, Kristy’s 20+ years at Horton now set a new horizon with this role.

“I have held almost every position at Horton in Personal Lines and Commercial Business Insurance, which helps me understand their processes. I have also managed various types of teams which helps me understand the dynamics that most are going through and the hurdles that will come up for certain changes we are managing.”

Before she became Director of Strategic Agency Solutions, Kristy was Horton’s Director of Project Management. She was responsible for the oversight and deployment of various projects across departments, locations, internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure all aspects were compatible and successfully rolled out.

Kristy first joined Horton in 2002 as a Customer Service Representative in the Personal Insurance Division. Following this, she served as a Customer Service Representative and then an Account Executive in Horton’s Small Commercial Division. In 2009, Kristy became an Account Executive in Horton’s Large Commercial Division. In 2012, her duties expanded to serve as Team Lead for Horton’s Small Commercial Division. Kristy next served as a Trainer and Auditor in Horton’s New Business Marketing Department. Following this, she was promoted to Operations Leader for Horton’s Small Commercial Division and its Certificate Tracking Department.

Kristy is always looking for ways to help her teams operate more productively, profitably and efficiently. She is responsible for recommending and implementing procedural improvements to reduce turn-around times and increase the quality of Horton’s work on behalf of clients.

“You do whatever it takes to ensure the client is happy,” Kristy said. “Even if it’s not your client, you jump in to respond to their needs right away rather than forwarding them to voicemail. Clients appreciate the responsiveness and value Horton because of it.”

Kristy earned an Administrative Assistant Diploma from Fox College in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She lives with her family in New Lenox, Illinois. In her time away from work, Kristy enjoys coaching soccer games with her son and softball games with her daughter. She volunteers for needy families through the Lyons Club and has volunteered for Paint a Brighter Chicago.
