Lisa Becke is a Claims Advocate for Horton’s Risk Advisory Solutions Division. In this role, she advocates for Horton’s clients with carriers, assisting them with the management of their claims. She also provides guidance with resolving claims and addresses concerns on complex claims issues.

Lisa has over 25 years of experience of working in many roles in the insurance/risk industry, including carrier, TPA, client and broker. This experience helped her develop strong relationship-building skills and taught her how to ask the right questions to understand her customers’ issues, concerns, processes and needs.
 
Because she has experience in a wide variety of roles, Lisa is able to understand claim handling from multiple perspectives. In addition to workers compensation, she has a strong background in casualty claims including auto, premises, products, and employment practices. She says that listening to her clients and customers is the key to learning how to effectively advocate on their behalf.
 
“Each client’s needs are different as are each of their claims and having an understanding of their business is an important part of resolving issues, whether they be minor or complex,” Lisa said. “Having worked for a self-insured company, I truly understand how claims affect the bottom line. I want to do all I can to assist our clients with understanding a claim as well as strategically developing a resolution.”
 
Lisa grew up in Seneca, Illinois and resides in Nashville with her two rescued dachshunds, Chloe and Morris Peabody. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, cycle spinning, reading, listening to live music and spending time with her family.
