Michael J. Lloyd

Michael Lloyd is a Vice President on Horton’s Personal Insurance team. In this role, Michael is part of a team of specialists dedicated to delivering insurance solutions tailored to the needs of individuals and families.

Michael brings many years of insurance experience to his Horton clients. After graduating from the GIES College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003, Michael found his way into the insurance industry, following his father’s footsteps. From 2003 to 2016, he first served as a Customer Service Representative and then moved up to a Producing Agent at Brockhaus, Stuber, Fox & Lloyd, focusing on personal and small business insurance. In 2016, Brockhaus, Stuber, Fox & Lloyd merged with The Horton Group, where Michael began as a Sales Executive in the Personal Lines Department.

Michael is a firm believer in the importance of quality insurance coverage. He is passionate about being an advocate for his clients and helping to educate them on how to best protect their most important assets. “My goal is to treat clients the way I would want to be treated if I were in their shoes,” says Michael. He views the insurance industry today as being overly focused on price. “While price is an important factor in any purchase decision, quality is equally important,” said Michael. “When the worst happens, you want to have the best quality coverage, not just the lowest-priced coverage.”

Michael’s most rewarding aspect of this position is the appreciation he receives when he can make a client’s day a little easier.

Michael’s roots are in Orland Park, Illinois, where he currently resides. When he’s not at work, he’s often found traveling or spending quality time with his family and friends.
