Since 1991, Horton’s Safety Consultants team has offered clients a multitude of services designed to control exposure to risk at every level of operation.
Nathan joined Horton in 2022, bringing more than seven years of experience of construction and safety experience to his clients.
“Every position I’ve held has taught me different aspects of construction and safety,” Nathan said. Prior to joining Horton, Nathan started his career as a site safety coordinator for Blattner Energy. From there, he worked as a Safety Manager for Lindahl Brothers, Inc. and a Field Safety Manager at McHugh Construction. During these seven years, he traveled for work lived in five different states: Alabama, California, Georgia, Iowa and Texas.
At Horton, Nathan focuses on assisting clients with OSHA compliance and helping them lower their MOD ratings. Out at client sites virtually every day, Nathan’s daily responsibilities include conducting safety audits, writing Lockout/Tagout procedures and attending accident review boards. Through it all, Nathan never loses sight of his most important goal.
“For me, the number one priority is preventing injuries, illnesses and fatalities at my clients’ facilities,” Nathan said. “It’s important to follow the rules and make necessary adjustments to ensure all procedures and standards are compliant.”
Nathan earned a Bachelor of Business in Occupational Health & Safety from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Outside of the office, he enjoys cooking, checking out local breweries and attending concerts and sporting events.
