Account-based plans are not new, but they continue to generate many questions from employers, from basic compliance requirements to practical administrative issues. This webinar will provide a general overview of the differences between these three benefits and address some of the most common compliance questions we see from employers who administer these plans.

David Flotten, J.D., Senior Consultant, Benefit Comply, LLC

David Flotten has over 24 years of experience in employee benefits and employment law with a particular focus on health and welfare plan compliance an employee benefits strategic planning. He has helped employers deal with difficult compliance issues related to ERISA, HIPAA, and more. David regularly presents seminars on the ACA, employee benefits compliance, and other HR topics, including for the College of Continuing & Professional Studies at the University of Minnesota. He has also taught the PHR/SPHR and SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP exam prep courses.

Delaney Callahan, J.D., Compliance Consultant, Benefit Comply, LLC

Delaney Callahan joined Benefit Comply, LLC in 2021 after her previous position in the third-party administrator field where she researched and assisted in maintaining compliance with Section 125 regulations and COBRA, ERISA, and ACA requirements for health and welfare benefit plans of a wide range of employers. After being introduced to the world of employee benefits compliance, as a Compliance Consultant at Benefit Comply, she provides guidance on regulatory compliance for health and welfare benefit plans to insurance professionals and directly to employers. Ms. Callahan received her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, and her bachelor’s degree from Calvin College.

Sarah Grcevich, Senior Consultant, Benefit Comply, LLC

Sarah Grcevich is a compliance consultant with Benefit Comply, where she assists employers dealing with employee benefits compliance challenges. Prior to joining Benefit Comply, Sarah worked in compliance and public policy for a major health plan and served as the HIPAA privacy official for a health insurance technology company.
