FLSA Classification Update – How It Will Impact Employers

On January 10, the US Department of Labor published its final rule for how employers should determine whether a worker is an employee or independent contractor. The ruling will shift how employers determine status from a 2-factor system to a 6-factor system and will go into effect March 11, 2024.
