Webinar: What You Need to Know About OSHA Recordkeeping

Please join us in January for our annual OSHA recordkeeping and OSHA regulatory update workshop. This workshop will provide attendees with up-to-date information regarding the completion of OSHA logs and the electronic posting of injury information to OSHA’s electronic recordkeeping website.

Much confusion remains regarding electronic recordkeeping and this workshop will provide clarification on these requirements. Participants will also receive an update regarding OSHA, its priorities, and its regulatory agenda.

INTENDED AUDIENCE

This workshop is directed to all personnel whose responsibilities include maintenance and preparation of the OSHA 300 log and 300A summary and individuals with managerial responsibility for safety.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

OSHA requires affected employers to maintain and update OSHA 300 logs and to document recordable injuries and illnesses. OSHA also requires these employers to prepare the OSHA 300A summary by February every year. Affected employers are required to submit information from the OSHA 300A summary electronically on OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application (ITA) website. Students will learn:

• Employers are required to maintain OSHA logs and report electronically
• OSHA’s definition of a recordable injury or illness
• OSHA’s requirements for reporting certain injuries and fatalities
• OSHA’s specific anti-discriminatory and prohibited activities
• Proper preparation of the OSHA 300A summary form
• Using data from the OSHA logs to calculate incident rate benchmarks
• The current state of affairs at OSHA
• Insights into OSHA’s regulatory agenda
