Missy Brown / Medcom

Missy Brown holds the position of Director of Accounting and COBRA at Medcom, officially known as Medical Cost Containment Services, Inc., a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) established in 1983. Medcom specializes in providing solutions for Consumer-Driven Health Plans (CDHP), COBRA, Compliance, and Affordable Care Act (ACA) services. Missy has been a pivotal part of the Medcom team for over 26 years, demonstrating her commitment and expertise in the field.

Missy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She is a distinguished member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi, two prestigious honor societies in the field of business and finance.

Under Missy’s leadership, the COBRA business at Medcom has seen significant growth, over the past five years to reach over 3000 accounts. This achievement is a testament to her strategic vision and effective management skills.

In her role, Missy oversees all aspects of Accounting, Human Resources, COBRA, and Retiree operations at Medcom, ensuring the smooth functioning and financial health of the organization. Her responsibilities extend beyond internal operations, as she also plays a key role in client relations and business development.

Missy’s expertise and insights have been recognized within the industry. She was a speaker at the Datapath Connections in 2022, sharing her knowledge and experiences with a wider audience. Furthermore, under her stewardship, Medcom was honored with prestigious awards in 2023 and 2024, the names of which will be updated upon confirmation.

Missy’s dedication, leadership, and contributions have been instrumental in Medcom’s success and longevity. Her role at Medcom continues to evolve as she leads her team towards new milestones and achievements.

Kacy Mayo / Medcom

Kacy Mayo holds the position of COBRA Account Management and Engagement Specialist at Medcom. Kacy has been an integral part of the COBRA account management team at Medcom for almost 3 years.

While being a stay-at-home mom to three young kids, Kacy graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology.  Kacy was working in a Hospital Clinic located in Colorado when she was introduced to Medcom through our American Correctional Team. Recognizing her work ethic, commitment and interpersonal skills, Medcom brought her onto the COBRA Account Management Team.

Kacy brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her role as a COBRA Account Manager at Medcom. She ensures seamless administration of COBRA benefits by guiding clients through compliance requirements and providing comprehensive support throughout their partnership. During her time as an account manager, Kacy has successfully implemented almost 700 new groups.

In her role, along with COBRA Account Management, Kacy also works with the COBRA Director to create products and problem-solving integrations to strengthen the relationship between Medcom and its Broker Partners and Employers.
