SOUTH BEND, IN – FEBRUARY 19TH, 2020: The Horton Group announced today that Tom Cassady, Jr. was promoted to Executive Director of Commercial Lines. In this position, Tom will be responsible for identifying target markets across the organization, managing key carrier & vendor relationships at the national & regional level while retaining his responsibilities as Division President. He will be responsible for new, innovative products and ways to serve clients through the Risk Advisory division of Horton.
The addition of the Executive Director of Commercial Lines role reflects the organization’s dedication to providing new ways to serve our clients. By cultivating strong relationships with our carrier and vendor partners, Horton will gain access to new markets and products that will help our clients as the insurance market hardens and unique risks become harder to place. Deep industry specialization is a point of competitive differentiation leading to a more nimble, innovative model for our clients. Focusing on these priorities will help both Horton and our clients thrive in a complex and difficult business environment.
“Tom’s deep knowledge of the insurance industry, combined with his never-ending passion for serving our clients makes him a great fit for this new role. Tom values the relationship with our clients, and he lives our values to be good for our clients, community, and employees. There is no one better than Tom to lead this new initiative for the agency,” Dan Horton, CEO and President of The Horton Group, said.
While Tom transitions into his new role, he will assist with the search for a new Division President in the South Bend branch. “The South Bend office is our largest office in Indiana. It’s imperative that we find the right candidate who demonstrates our values and can continue to elevate our service offering to clients. I am excited to bring on and work with our next generation of leadership in South Bend,” Tom Cassady Jr., said.
