ORLAND PARK, IL – AUGUST 4, 2020: The Horton Group is proud to announce that Michael E. Wojcik was appointed a Seat on the NAHU National Legislative Council in Washington D.C. where he will be reporting directly to the NAHU’s Board of Trustees. NAHU, The National Association of Health Underwriters, is the largest Health Underwriters in the country. NAHU is an organization for individuals who are active in the healthcare and health insurance industry.

Wojcik, Senior Vice President of Horton’s Employee Benefit Solutions department, has played an active role in improving the healthcare system, including the ACA, and most recently, the repeal of the Cadillac Tax, HIT Tax, and Medical Device Tax. He has also been working hard on taking on many of the COVID-19 insurance challenges. Now, as he takes his Seat at NAHU, he hopes to continue to create better outcomes for Horton’s clients, Horton, and the industry as a whole. 

“Our Council’s purpose is to develop and advocate for market‐based solutions, which provide for continued and improved choice, accessibility and affordability of health, disability, and long‐term care insurance, employee benefits, and other products designed to meet the health, financial and retirement security needs of the American people. The Council oversees grassroots initiatives and the advocacy of sound health policy throughout the legislative and regulatory process.”

Michael joined Horton in 1989 as one of the founding partners of its employee benefits brokerage and consulting division. His leadership and innovative drive have helped the division earn continuous growth and recognition as a thought leader in the industry.
