Dave Bresnahan’s face lights up when describing the strategy he uses as an Account Executive at The Horton Group. “We have a very deep bench and have the expertise, resources, and tools to provide the best programs and products to our clients.”
Dave evaluates and then designs creative insurance and risk management programs for commercial manufacturing and food industry clients. “After determining the particular needs of each individual client, I thrive on marketing their programs to achieve the best coverage at lowest cost possible,” Dave said.
Dave recognizes that safety plays an important role in his clients’ daily operations. “Safer workplaces create three key results,” Dave explained. “First, safety lowers cost by reducing the direct and indirect expenses associated with injured employees. Second, employees feel the company is looking out for their well-being. The third result is essential – satisfied employees consistently yield higher productivity.”
“I want to be a true resource for my clients,” Dave continued. “Businesses must deal with complex decisions on a daily basis, and I want to be there to make my clients’ job easier.” Dave feels The Horton Group uniquely defines themselves by always delivering responsive, astute consultation. “We feature an experienced claims division, an in-house attorney and paralegal and certified safety professionals. The financial impact of claims is very important, but at the end of the day, business owners like knowing they have taken the proper measures to keep their employees safe.”
The most rewarding part of David’s job is helping companies discover the advantages of a safer workplace. “Workers’ Compensation insurance is among the leading costs for most of my clients,” Dave stated. “The programs we share with our clients, such as return-to-work assistance, employee physicals, lock-out tag-out and safety incentive programs all support employees, so they feel more valued by their employer.”
Dave lives in the Southwestern suburb of Lockport, Illinois with his wife and three daughters. When he is not busy at work, Dave likes relaxing outdoors on sunny afternoons with his family while barbecuing at home. Dave is an avid sports fan and he particularly enjoys watching or playing a challenging game of football.
