David Kleifield

David Kleifield serves as a member of Horton’s Benefits Solution team. He brings 10 years of experience in insurance to this team of dedicated risk management, employee benefits and insurance specialists. He is responsible for providing comprehensive, cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet his clients’ most complex, risk-related challenges.

“I’m excited to help clients find the best benefits insurance to meet their needs,” said David. “And I’m excited to be on Horton’s team.”

“Horton understands that customer service is the key to a successful organization,” said David. “It takes a team of people working together to maximize results for our clients.”

David speaks regularly about healthcare reform and Horton’s benefit solutions at the Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC), a network of 1,000 small businesses.

“I was drawn to insurance because I saw a real need…a lack of understanding,” said David. “I see clients who are over-insured, under-insured, not sure what insurance they have, and unaware of the options available to them.”

“With the Affordable Care Act and continually changing healthcare legislation, things are even more confusing,” said David. “My responsibility is to keep up with all the constantly changing information and educate my clients on how the changes affect them.” He added: “Solutions today may not be viable solutions tomorrow.”

At Horton Benefit Solutions, David will be providing employee health benefits, life insurance and long-term disability insurance to small- and medium-sized businesses. David will focus on serving existing clients and bringing in new ones.

“I’m always looking to build a long-term relationship,” said David. “I love receiving referrals from existing clients. It speaks to the level of service I provide to them.”

David lives in the northern suburbs with his wife and three children. He enjoys basketball, golf and running. In fact, he completed the 2012 Chicago Marathon representing the Ronald McDonald House of Chicagoland.
