Debbie Lorsch is a Compliance Specialist for Horton’s Benefits Solutions. In this role, Debbie is responsible for assisting staff and clients in all facets of welfare plan compliance including state and federal regulations relative to ACA, COBRA, DOL, ERISA, HIPAA, and IRS. She is part of a team of employee benefits-focused specialists dedicated to delivering innovative healthcare solutions to employers.
Debbie brings over 30 years of insurance experience to her Horton clients. Debbie’s experience includes selling and servicing self-funded and fully-insured plans in both the public and private sector.
“I am deeply committed to simplifying the complexities of regulations to better enable customers in their understanding of compliance. Moving into this new role, I am truly excited to assist and advise our clients in their understanding of compliance with regulations related to employee benefit plans.”
Her views on the current state of the insurance market reflect a genuine empathy for clients. “It is increasingly difficult for employers and plans to remain compliant due to the ever-changing myriad of state and federal regulations. As an insurance broker, our role is critical in deciphering the application of new and changing regulations and supporting employers in complying.”
Debbie attended National Louis University in Chicago, Illinois where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Debbie and her husband currently reside in Lincolnshire, Illinois. She has two grown children, two grandchildren, and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, skiing, biking, and hiking.
