Jason Wallace, CRM, CIC
Vice President
“If everything you try is working, then you're not trying enough new things,” said Jason Wallace, Vice President of Risk Advisory Solutions and Healthcare Practice.
Since 1997, Jason has spearheaded a number of initiatives in various Horton divisions. From launching new ventures in Internet-based risk management, to leading Horton's new business development efforts, to overseeing Horton's Property / Casualty operations in Illinois, to now working in a senior sales capacity, Jason attributes his success to the dynamic energy found throughout The Horton Group.
“Horton continually reinvents itself and never sits still,” Jason explained. “In 2001, we saw an opportunity for growth in China and Horton created a Beijing office. The following year, Horton formed a strategic partnership with Innovative Captive Strategies, and I was part of a team that has since placed nearly 30 Horton clients into multiple group captives. In 2008, we were able to acquire an agency that specialized exclusively in placing medical malpractice insurance for large physician groups. Anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit would find working here to be extremely rewarding.” As a Vice President in Horton's Healthcare Practice, Jason is responsible for the growth and service of various agency clients working in the health care industry.
“Horton has made significant investments in this space (healthcare) during the last several years, and we will continue to do so,” Jason said. “As the healthcare sector consumes a larger and larger portion of our country's GDP, the leading insurance brokers will need to provide additional resources to match that growth. I?know that Horton is positioned at the leading edge.”
Jason stays busy with a number of industry activities. He acts as Horton's liaison for multiple insurance companies and sits on the advisory boards of numerous carriers. He is also the agency liaison for Horton's various captive insurance initiatives.
Whether the next idea originates from a new captive concept, a strategic acquisition, or taking the Healthcare Practice to the next level, Jason thrives on keeping The Horton Group on top and always pushing for more.

When we first began getting serious about captives, Jason was there to walk us through the process, guiding our decision. The Horton Group took all of Beemsterboer’s various companies and wrapped them into their captive. This has enabled me to turn one of my biggest overhead expenses into a profit-making opportunity for our organization. Jason has been a great partner to work with. We know that he and Horton are always looking out for our best interests.

I met Jason Wallace early in our company’s involvement with Horton’s group captive. Despite the very confusing insurance terminology and the necessary investment arrangements associated with a captive, Jason has always been available to answer my countless questions regarding our participation and financial results.
Although I am a group captive member, I am not in the insurance business full-time. As a result, I depend on Jason and the rest of the captive experts at Horton for their continuous answers to my inquiries. I have yet to be disappointed.Scott Arquilla, Vice President
