Matt Meyer is a Practice Group Leader for The Horton Group. Matt’s extensive knowledge of insurance and risk management helps him meet the diverse needs of Horton’s clients. His background includes working in Horton’s Construction and Real Estate practice groups in providing Horton clients with comprehensive, cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet their most complex, risk-related challenges and opportunities.
“I understand that owning and running a business is an extremely complex but rewarding task,” said Matt Meyer, client executive for the Horton Group. “My goal is to use the resources and knowledge at hand to ultimately curb the costs, indirectly or directly, associated with managing the company’s risks.”
Meyer has spent six and a half years working with business clients in the Greater Milwaukee area as a commercial banking relationship manager for a regional, commercial bank. During that time he was able to build a greater understanding of what business owners and executives look for in a partner to help them strategize for future success. For Meyer, the satisfaction of working with business owners and executives is in the execution of the company’s strategies of managing risk. “You have to be able to ask the right questions, communicate openly and effectively and deliver on your commitments,” Meyer said.
Meyer holds a B.A. in Justice and Public Policy from Concordia University Wisconsin. He also has had widespread experience in construction practices, and moving and storage. Meyer started with the Horton Group in October 2013, and looks forward to working to meet client’s needs.
Meyer grew up in Waukesha County and now resides in Wauwatosa, WI. During his free time he enjoys fishing, golfing and running.
