Michael Latoria

Michael Latoria is a Healthcare Consultant for Horton’s Multiemployer Consulting Solutions team. In this position, he is responsible for the preparation of multi-year financial projections, benchmark analyses, data and vendor management, plan design pricing and other reports as needed to meet personalized client needs.

Michael has been a part of the insurance industry since 2016. His actuarial and analytical background, combined with his experience in health and pension plan consulting, has supported his career in healthcare insurance. In his previous position as a business analyst, he consulted directly with health insurance carriers on product development, market strategy, venture capital due diligence, and digital transformation.

“I am very excited to help my clients and build long-lasting relationships through trust and value,” he says. “I know that increasing value for my clients will improve the long-term financial and healthy well-being of themselves, their members, and their families.”

For Michael, the most rewarding aspect of working within the insurance industry is seeing real, positive change in client health plans. He makes every effort to lower health plan rates through vendor negotiations, leaving no stone unturned. Additionally, Michael makes sure he is always up to date with the latest market trends.

“The only way to truly provide value to clients is to listen,” he says. “When working collaboratively with a client there is a clear pathway to flexible and personalized solutions.”

Michael is from Itasca, Illinois, though he currently resides in Lincoln Park, Chicago. He keeps busy by being involved in multiple intramural leagues around the city such as softball, bowling, golf and volleyball.
