While we continue to deal with the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also faced with the economic uncertainty of a potential recession and a tight labor market. This makes running a company or a human resource department a bit of a challenge!

To make life a little “easier” we have put together a list of the top 5 workplace issues that employers should closely watch in the second half of 2022:

  1. Compliance with third-party contracts, such as background check providers, temporary placement agencies, and other vendors;
  2.  Critical updates to your employee handbook;
  3. Strategies for your compensation analysis so that you are compliant with the salary disclosure laws and equity issues;
  4. Implementation of reasonable suspicion training for managers—to help with the steady legalization of marijuana; and
  5.  Updates on non-competition/non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements to ensure compliance with the barrage of conflicting state laws.

We hope you can join us on Thursday, September 15th from 2:00PM to 3:00PM!
