Jody Morris

Jody Morris is an Account Executive for Horton’s Employee Benefit Solutions Division. In this role, Jody is the primary contact for a client’s day-to-day needs, including open enrollment, compliance, claims, and benefit plan implementation and communication.

Jody has been in the health insurance industry for over 25 years. Before Horton, Jody served as a Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager with USI Insurance. She had been with the same company through four different acquisitions in 23 years, starting with CFG Insurance, AFG, ABRC, and finally USI in July 2020. These experiences and her relationship with Erik Hinz, Benefits Advisor, make this a seamless transition in work.

Coming to Horton, she’s excited “to support the company’s vision and mission. I will work hard with the entire employee benefits team to achieve it.”

Her philosophy on the health insurance market’s current state is that “you can always count on the continual evolution and change. As an employee in the industry, that means I have to evolve and change to help all of Horton’s clients.”

For client advocacy and customer service, Jody “always put her customers first, showing them the highest degree of courtesy and sensitivity to meet their needs.” This comes through her communication with clients, which she knows is a core strength in her client relationships.

“I always go above and beyond to make sure our clients’ and our team’s expectations are fulfilled, and that all commitments are met.” Jody is known for collaborative relationship building. Her career longevity is a testament alone in health insurance. Jody thrives on this work’s most rewarding aspect: providing industry-leading services to all of Hortons’ customers and gaining their trust.

Jody lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but loves traveling to warm, sunny beach destinations. When asked to name two songs that describe her life, she lists “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey and “Time of Your Life” by Green Day.
