Joe Rehkamp

Joe Rehkamp is a Vice President for Horton’s Risk Advisory Solutions Division. In this role, Joe is responsible for providing Horton clients with comprehensive, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to meet their most complex, risk-related challenges and opportunities.

Joe worked as a Commercial Insurance Advisor at Waypoint Insurance Advisors, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which merged its operations with the Horton Group in February 2020. During his time at Waypoint, Joe focused on helping “small to midsized businesses, who have limited resources, solve complex problems.” Joe takes sincere pride in” being able to make an impact on someone’s business or life every day, and joining with Horton in Minneapolis makes this even more possible.”

Joe knows that the insurance industry has changed immensely in the last decade.

“It has evolved at a rapid pace, with the advancement of technology across all industries, it will continue to do so every year for the foreseeable future. I believe, as a risk advisor, it is of utmost importance to continually learn and adapt so that we can stay ahead for our customers.”

Joe’s creative process includes valuing hard work and is complimented most for going the extra mile. He believes that “the only way to deliver client-focused insurance solutions is to make a tangible and considerable difference.”

Joe graduated from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. He spent 23 years playing competitive hockey, and he even played professionally for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and the Reading Royals. Aside from hockey, Joe enjoys his time golfing, mountain biking, snow and water skiing, wake surfing, and attending country and rock concerts.
