The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced an investment of more than $33 million in 197 high-priority watersheds through the National Water Quality Initiative (NWQI).

The investment targets watersheds in 17 states that include a variety of land uses and water quality issues. The USDA and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will also work with conservation partners and local water quality agencies to leverage existing plans, data and information to develop on-farm water conservation. For more information on the investment, visit the USDA’s website.
