Ben Helgeson is a Sales Executive for Horton’s Select Business Division. He is responsible for providing P&C clients with comprehensive, cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet their most complex, risk-related challenges and opportunities.

His colleagues have complimented Ben on his leadership skills, attention to detail and purpose-driven attitude.

“I believe everybody deserves to be treated with respect,” he says. “I always think calculably before acting out and making a decision.”

When it comes to his philosophy on client advocacy and customer service, Ben believes that understanding a client’s business is critical to successfully advocate on their behalf and deliver the service experience they need.

“My relationship with my clients matters just as much, if not more, than the products I’m selling,” he says. “When you work with a new client, it is important to immerse yourself in the ins and outs of their business to provide the best recommendations.”

Ben is a resident of St. Paul, MN, and studied finance at the University of Saint Thomas, where he was involved in the Finance Club and the Business Law and Compliance Club. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing and camping. He is also an avid hockey fan and played in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) for two years.
