Vanessa Senese

Vanessa Senese is a wellness coordinator for Horton’s Employee Benefits Solutions Division. She provides wellness support to all mid-market and fully insured accounts. In this role, she is responsible for researching, developing and uploading a wide range of health and wellness information to Horton’s wellness client portal and personal book of business. Additionally, she provides robust digital resources, recommendations and support to clients and assists the Population Health team as needed.

When it comes to health and wellness, Vanessa continuously researches new opportunities for her clients and asks the right questions to prioritize their needs and improve their wellness programs.

“The insurance industry is ever-changing and developing with industry trends and current events,” she said. “I strive to be realistic but also kindhearted in knowing the fast-paced environment that ties into the ever-changing world of health and wellness.”

Since joining Horton in 2018, Vanessa has been complimented on her customer service skills, organization, communication, research, peer mentorship, teamwork, time management, public speaking, event planning, training, and passion for health promotion and education.

“I entered the insurance industry with little to no knowledge or experience, and now I can confidently provide program recommendations to help clients navigate the lifelong journey of health and wellness for their employee populations,” she said.

Vanessa grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland and currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Michael, our two cats, Henry and Honey, and snake, Yokai. Her passion for health and wellness exists inside and outside the office. She is an avid nature/adventure seeker and was a gymnast for her entire upbringing (even participating in the Gamma Phi Circus at Illinois State University). Additionally, she has a soft spot for animals and enjoys watching musicals and listening to all musical genres.
