“My goal is to provide a level of service that enables my clients to be both more efficient and profitable in running their companies," said Ryan Smale, Vice President at The Horton Group. "By focusing a large percentage of time on higher-hazard manufacturers and non-profit organizations, I?have been able to establish relationships with insurance carriers that provide superior protection and tailor products for these complicated industries."
Combined with Horton's ability to provide safety consulting, contract review and claims advocacy, Ryan feels he is able to deliver competitive insurance products and expert consultation.
“My top priority is to make sure my clients are properly protected from all possible exposures," Ryan explained. "Uncovering the areas of concern often times necessitates the highest level of communication. Asking questions, learning our client's operations, and providing applicable solutions is what our business is all about.”
One recent example of The Horton Group's drive for excellence is their response to the changing Milwaukee school marketplace. Ryan worked with numerous private school executive directors to build progressive insurance programs that fully comply with local requirements and standards. Ryan and his team take this solution-oriented approach with every client.
“Knowing that we provide value to our customers in more ways than just supplying an insurance policy is very rewarding,” Ryan said. “Our ability to help our clients with strategic business initiatives goes beyond just insurance. If we can assist through consultation and help our clients take their business to the next level, then we have done our job.”
Ryan believes that safety plays a tremendous role in his client's operations. He contends that without a safety program, productivity and efficiency are negatively impacted, thus hindering bottom line revenues. A well-designed safety program can minimize the occurrence of claims and improves insurability.
Ryan lives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin with his wife, Becky and dog, Charley. He enjoys distance running, outdoor sports and home improvement projects.
