How Can Manufacturers and Contractors Help During this Coronavirus Crisis?

As many of us work from home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, others are on the front lines helping those in need, including people infected with the virus.

Hospitals and healthcare workers are in desperate need of personal protective equipment, including N95 respirators and basic eye protection, to prevent the spread of the virus. As cases of the virus spike, it will be critical to protecting those who protect us.

Contractors and manufacturers are encouraged to donate surplus N95 respirators and safety glasses to their local hospital as there is a severe shortage of personal protective equipment because of worldwide demand. A number of manufacturers have volunteered to retool their facilities to produce this critical piece of safety equipment. Until manufacturers can increase supply to meet current demand, healthcare workers currently do not have an adequate supply of these respirators to protect themselves.

The process of donation is simple. Contact your local hospital and let them know you’d like to donate respirators and eye protection. You can ship, or deliver, them to the hospital. Hospitals are gladly accepting these donations.

As some of us struggle to find ways to help during this pandemic, donating N95 respirators and safety glasses to your local hospital is one way you can make a difference and help protect those on the front lines.
