Our nonprofit team works tirelessly to stay on top of the latest industry news and trends so they can provide innovative recommendations to their clients. Recently, our senior vice presidents Robin Bettenhausen and Tom Kallai, engaged in key nonprofit conferences, immersing themselves in new knowledge and innovative ideas. Below is a detailed recap of the events they attended and the valuable lessons they brought back to enhance our client services.
Horton/MMA Nonprofit Summit
On August 21, Robin and Tom brought back their Nonprofit Summit. Little Friends in Naperville was kind enough to host the group of current clients and friends of Horton/MMA. Attendees gained insight on streamlining pharmacy strategies from Optum Rx’s Sam Leidholt, learned to expect from the changing Medicaid landscape from The Institute on Public Policy for People with Disabilities’ Kathy Carmody, and had their perspectives turned upside down by Chicago Bear Ray McElroy!
IARF
From August 27-29 , Robin and Tom attended the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF) Educational Conference & Expo in Normal, IL, an annual event targeted for community based I/DD and Behavioral Health providers. Robin presented a competitive benefits strategy that is making waves in the nonprofit community. They had a great time trading trivia for cookies with all of the attendees!
