Katherine Chaves is a Sales Executive for Horton’s Risk Advisory Solutions Division, where she is dedicated to providing clients with comprehensive, cost-effective, and innovative solutions to address their most complex risk-related challenges and opportunities.

The scope of Katherine’s work spans across various industries, including financial services, legal services, and private equity. She enjoys helping her clients navigate the complicated world of insurance, ensuring they are properly insured and managing their risks in a cost-effective manner. She has earned praise and trust from her clients for her keen attention to detail, exceptional project management skills and effective communication abilities.

“It is critical for businesses to partner with an insurance brokerage who is willing to be a tireless advocate and creative problem solver for them,” Katherine says. “Too often, most brokerages fall far short of meeting these expectations. The Horton Group, however, is insurance done differently – in all the best ways.”

With a background as a corporate lawyer, Katherine leverages her extensive legal knowledge and judgment to offer valuable counsel and support to corporate clients. She excels in helping her clients resolve their most pressing and intricate legal issues and business dilemmas while upholding the highest standards of ethical judgment and professional conduct.

“My experience as a corporate lawyer has been invaluable, particularly in understanding the nuances of corporate governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance,” she says. “In my current role, I leverage these skills to benefit our diverse clientele and help them mitigate their unique risks.”

Originally hailing from the greater Boston area, Katherine now resides in Hopkins, MN, with her husband and two children. During her free time, you can often find her hosting dinner parties for friends, exploring the outdoors with her family through activities like cross-country skiing and biking, escaping to Ogunquit, Maine for a long weekend by the ocean, or actively organizing events and fundraisers to support political candidates.
