The Horton Group Recognized As One Of Illinois’ Healthiest Employers

CHICAGO, IL – OCTOBER 3, 2013 –  On Wednesday, The Horton Group was recognized as one of 2013 finalists for the Illinois’s “Healthiest Employers”.  The Horton Group is one of three nominees in the 100 – 499 full-time employee category.

In 2012, Crain’s Custom Media, A Division of Chicago Crains partnered with Healthiest Employer LLC to recognize Illinois’ “Healthiest Employer’s”.  Illinois’s Healthiest Employers are committed to creating a healthy workplace.  Last year, over 100 applications were submitted.  Candidates are scored based on six categories: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions and reporting and analysis.

Katie Cummins, HR Director, chairs the internal wellness committee. “I think it’s important to make employees aware of serious health conditions but we do it in a way that provides them with an opportunity to live happier, healthier lives, encouraging team spirit, healthy competition and a dose of fun.”
