FMCSA Introduces Training Standards

The FMCSA recently announced a final rule that will create national minimum training standards for entry-level truck and bus drivers who seek a CDL.
Under the new rule, applicants must demonstrate proficiency under a program that meets FMCSA standards—although the agency anticipates that many entities that currently provide entry-level driver training will be able to comply with the new requirements.
