Christie Schuh brings a wealth of experience and a personalized touch to her role as an Employee Benefits Advisor at Horton’s Select Business Division. Her mission is to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective, and innovative solutions that address her clients’ most intricate employee benefit challenges and risk-related insurance needs.

Prior to her tenure at Horton, Christie held key positions at Gallagher and ADP, where her diverse roles included serving as an Area Vice President, TotalSource PEO Senior District Manager and CPA Specialist. Her consultative approach with C-Level Executives in small to mid-sized organizations focused on Human Capital Management, encompassing talent life cycle, benefits, compensation, and risk and safety strategies.

Christie’s philosophy on the insurance industry centers around the value of relationships, believing that client advocacy and exceptional customer service are the cornerstones of client retention and referrals. She emphasizes, “Clients want to partner with consultants they like, trust, and believe will be there for them when they need it.”

As a Sales Executive, Christie’s greatest satisfaction stems from assisting employers in expanding their organizations by providing competitive benefits plans that are genuinely valued by their workforce. She recognizes the challenges organizations face due to rising insurance costs and competition for top talent. Christie’s commitment is to act as a trusted consultant, offering proactive solutions to mitigate financial impacts and help organizations maintain their status as employers of choice, all while pursuing their short- and long-term goals. Christie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textile Technology from the State University of New York College in Buffalo, New York, as well as an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Outside of her professional life, Christie finds joy in staying active and enjoying the outdoors, whether at the beach, on a bike ride, or skiing, a passion she has pursued since the age of 10. Additionally, she is an avid sports enthusiast, frequently attending football and hockey games to support her favorite teams.
