Blake Gotkowski

Blake Gotkowski is a Client Executive for Horton’s Employee Benefit Solutions. In this role, Blake is responsible for providing expert employee benefits consulting, bringing new clients on board, and servicing and retaining existing clients. He is part of a team of employee benefits-focused professionals who are dedicated to delivering innovative healthcare solutions to employers.

Blake comes to Horton with more than 11 years of experience working in the insurance industry. Before Horton, Blake was a Senior Benefits Consultant with Arthur J. Gallagher and a Senior Account Executive for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Blake feels his experiences on both the consultant and carrier side of the business will allow him the insights to better service Horton clients.  This knowledge allows me to manage processes better to reduce the workload for employers and issues for employees.

Blake is most complimented on his accountability. “When I take on a task or project, people know it is going to be completed correctly and on time.”

With his accountability, he has made it a sacred concept to stay away from promises, which cannot be kept. “We should always be fully transparent and upfront with our clients [in everything we do.]”

Blake attended and graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2008 with Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing.  While at NIU, Blake was also a member of their men’s soccer team. This helped him develop into a competitive person, who always enjoys a challenge and is willing to go beyond for his clients.
