Erin Hargrove
Sales Executive
Erin Hargrove is a Sales Executive for Horton’s Employee Benefit Solutions. In this role, Erin is responsible for providing industry benefits expertise and consultative guidance to aid clients in navigating the ever-changing benefits marketplace. She is part of a team of employee-benefits focused specialists dedicated to delivering innovative healthcare solutions to employers.
Erin’s first job out of college was administering HSA and FSA plans for a TPA. Before joining Horton, Erin worked in sales training, sales, account management, and HR technology consulting, all of which provided foundational stepping stones to joining the Benefits division at Horton.
Erin joins Horton’s newest team out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her philosophy on the current state of insurance is “benefits and insurance industries are both vital and confusing. There is much opportunity to find ways to make sense to all people, and at the same time, offer the level of protection they need.”
As the link between benefits and technology continues to grow, Erin plans on making sure that she bridges that gap for the team in Minneapolis. “Being well connected, trusted, and known in the Minnesota market as an expert in the HR technology space should translate fluently into benefits, especially Horton’s new offering to the market.”
When working with clients, Erin understands the importance of understanding what our clients not only need but showing them a new way forward – sometimes without them realizing the actual potential. “Never assume that any two clients are the same. Being in a place to offer specific insight to every client is my core philosophy on advocacy and service to customers.”
Erin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She then went on to complete her Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership/Strategic Management at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is actively involved in her child’s school, serving as the Chair for their annual auction, and serves on the board for her local traveling baseball and basketball associations. One of her favorite songs is “Come Rain, Come Shine” by Ray Charles because it was her wedding song, but it also shows the idea that one can get through anything.
